TL;DR: In this paper, the mean charged hadron multiplicity, the differential and integral jet shape distributions, and two independent moments of the shape distributions are measured as functions of the jet transverse momentum for jets reconstructed with the anti-kT algorithm.
Abstract: Measurements of jet characteristics from inclusive jet production in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV are presented. The data sample was collected with the CMS detector at the LHC during 2010 and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 36 inverse picobarns. The mean charged hadron multiplicity, the differential and integral jet shape distributions, and two independent moments of the shape distributions are measured as functions of the jet transverse momentum for jets reconstructed with the anti-kT algorithm. The measured observables are corrected to the particle level and compared with predictions from various QCD Monte Carlo generators.

TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between internal marketing and perceived organizational performance was investigated in micro finance institutions in Kivu (DR Congo) using structural equations modeling through LISREL 9.1.
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is threefold: first, testing the relationships between internal marketing and employee satisfaction; second, investigating the links between employee satisfaction and perceived organizational performance; and finally, testing the relationship between internal marketing and perceived organizational performance. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected from 419 employees working in 53 microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Kivu (DR Congo). Data processing was performed using structural equations modeling through LISREL 9.1. Findings – The results revealed that there is a positive and significant relationship between internal marketing and employee satisfaction. The results also revealed that there is a positive and significant relationship between internal marketing and perceived organizational performance. However, no significant relationship between employee satisfaction and perceived organizational performance was identified. Research limitations/implications – T...

TL;DR: In this paper, a universal relation between moment of inertia and quadrupole moment of arbitrarily fast rotating neutron stars was considered and it was shown that it is still universal among various suggested equations of state for constant values of certain dimensionless parameters characterizing the magnitude of rotation.
Abstract: We consider a universal relation between moment of inertia and quadrupole moment of arbitrarily fast rotating neutron stars. Recent studies suggest that this relation breaks down for fast rotation. We find that it is still universal among various suggested equations of state for constant values of certain dimensionless parameters characterizing the magnitude of rotation. One of these parameters includes the neutron star radius, leading to a new universal relation expressing the radius through the mass, frequency, and spin parameter. This can become a powerful tool for radius measurements.

TL;DR: In this paper, force field and quantum-chemical calculations are combined to model the packing of pentacene molecules at the atomic level on two polymer dielectric layers (poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) versus polystyrene (PS)) widely used in fleld-effect transistors and assess the impact of electrostatic interactions at the interface on the charge mobility values in the Pentacene layers.
Abstract: Force-field and quantum-chemical calculations are combined to model the packing of pentacene molecules at the atomic level on two polymer dielectric layers (poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) versus polystyrene (PS)) widely used in fleld-effect transistors and to assess the impact of electrostatic interactions at the interface on the charge mobility values in the pentacene layers. The results show unambiguously that the electrostatic interactions introduce a significant energetic disorder in the pentacene layer in contact with the polymer chains; a drop in the hole mobility by a factor of 5 is predicted with PS chains while a factor of 60 is obtained for PM MA due to the presence of polar carbonyl groups.

TL;DR: An overview of the recent developments concerning the spectroscopic properties of lanthanide atoms and ions (Z = 57 − 71) is presented in this article, where advances made during the past twenty years regarding the analysis of the spectra, the transition probabilities, the radiative lifetimes and also the hyperfine structures and isotope shifts are both covered in this paper including bibliographical references up to the end of 2001.
Abstract: We present an overview of the recent developments concerning the spectroscopic properties of lanthanide atoms and ions (Z = 57–71) This review is focussed on the advances made during the past twenty years regarding the analysis of the spectra, the transition probabilities, the radiative lifetimes and also the hyperfine structures and isotope shifts Theoretical aspects as well as experimental measurements are both covered in this paper including bibliographical references up to the end of 2001 Some astrophysical implications of the new atomic data concerning the chemical composition of the sun are briefly reviewed Emphasis is also put on the new database DREAM developed on a web site of Mons University in Belgium
