Investigations of prenol reactions catalyzed by zinc and molybdenum complexes
TL;DR: In this article , the formation of symmetrical and unsymmetrical allylic ethers with molybdenum catalysts was demonstrated for the first time, showing that prenol (3-methyl-2-buten-1-ol) is a promising oxygenate with good fuel properties.

Environmental, economic, and energetic costs and benefits of biodiesel and ethanol biofuels
TL;DR: Transportation biofuels such as synfuel hydrocarbons or cellulosic ethanol, if produced from low-input biomass grown on agriculturally marginal land or from waste biomass, could provide much greater supplies and environmental benefits than food-basedBiofuels.
