TLDR
This paper showed that under forecasted changes in temperature and precipitation, there could be a decline of economically valuable species, which would lead to a loss in the value of European forest land.Abstract:
European forests are threatened by climate change with impacts on the distribution of tree species. Previous discussions on the consequences of biome shifts have concentrated only on ecological issues; however, research now shows that under forecasted changes in temperature and precipitation there could be a decline of economically valuable species, which would lead to a loss in the value of European forest land.read more

Species composition modulates seedling competitiveness of temperate tree species under hemiboreal conditions
TL;DR: European beech had the fastest height growth and competitiveness, suggesting ability to concur a stable niche outside its natural range, particularly under increased temperature, and balanced development and optimal productivity of such mixed stands.
Variation of morphological and structural traits in natural cork oak populations along temperature and precipitation gradient in Northern Tunisia
Amel Ennajah,Salma Say Kachout,Abd El Wehed Laamouri,Mariem Elaloui,Florent Mouillot,Garchi Salah +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors tested the hypothesis that contrasting climate and elevations affect the growth and productivity of more than 47 cork oak populations in the Kroumirie (Mediterranean forest in the north west of Tunisia).

Bending characteristics of glued laminated timber depending on the alternating effects of freezing and heating
TL;DR: In this article , the effect of cyclic temperature variation on the bending properties of glued laminated timber made from combinations of wood species was investigated, and the results showed that the bending strength was negatively affected by temperature, especially for the hardwood species.

Climate change 2007 : impacts, adaptation and vulnerability
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a cross-chapter case study on climate change and sustainability in natural and managed systems and assess key vulnerabilities and the risk from climate change, and assess adaptation practices, options, constraints and capacity.
