TLDR
There is substantial evidence that ICIs are associated with a small but significant increase in risk of selected all-grade irAEs and high-grade gastrointestinal and liver toxicities, and AEs should be recognized promptly as early interventions may alleviate future complications.

Associations of influenza vaccination with severity of immune-related adverse events in patients with advanced thoracic cancers on immune checkpoint inhibitors

TL;DR: This study showed that FV does not increase toxicity for patients with advanced thoracic cancer on ICIs and is associated with a decreased risk for grade 3–5 IRAEs and better survival times.
Journal ArticleDOI

Programmed death 1 (PD‐1) and ligand (PD‐L1) inhibitors in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma: A meta‐analysis

TL;DR: Meta‐analysis shows the efficacy of PD‐1 and PD‐L1 inhibitors in HNSCC and suggests a possible difference in certain RECIST criterion between PD‐ 1 and PD-L1 inhibitor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Systemische Behandlung des Harnblasenkarzinoms

TL;DR: The meisten bosartigen Harnblasentumoren sind histologisch Urothelkarzinome as mentioned in this paper, and ein Viertel der Patienten weist zum Diagnosezeitpunkt bereits ein fortgeschrittenes Erkrankungsstadium auf.
Journal ArticleDOI

ICSBP-induced PD-L1 enhances osteosarcoma cell growth

TL;DR: ICSBP regulates PD-L1 expression in osteosarcoma cells, and PD- L1 knockdown combined with doxorubicin treatment could represent a strategy for controlling osteosARcoma expressing ICSBP.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immune-induced pneumonia in patients with advanced solid tumors treated with immunotherapy: a real-world assessment.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the CT and clinical characteristics of immunotherapy-induced pneumonitis (IIP) in patients with advanced solid tumors, including non-small-cell lung cancer, lymphoma and gastrointestinal tumors.

Bias in meta-analysis detected by a simple, graphical test

TL;DR: Funnel plots, plots of the trials' effect estimates against sample size, are skewed and asymmetrical in the presence of publication bias and other biases Funnel plot asymmetry, measured by regression analysis, predicts discordance of results when meta-analyses are compared with single large trials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Meta-Analysis in Clinical Trials*

TL;DR: This paper examines eight published reviews each reporting results from several related trials in order to evaluate the efficacy of a certain treatment for a specified medical condition and suggests a simple noniterative procedure for characterizing the distribution of treatment effects in a series of studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Operating characteristics of a rank correlation test for publication bias.

TL;DR: In this paper, an adjusted rank correlation test is proposed as a technique for identifying publication bias in a meta-analysis, and its operating characteristics are evaluated via simulations, and the test statistic is a direct statistical analogue of the popular funnel-graph.
