TLDR
There is substantial evidence that ICIs are associated with a small but significant increase in risk of selected all-grade irAEs and high-grade gastrointestinal and liver toxicities, and AEs should be recognized promptly as early interventions may alleviate future complications.

Health Care Utilization and Costs Associated With Systemic First-Line Metastatic Melanoma Therapies in the United States

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors compared health care utilization and costs per patient per month (PPPM) using two-part and generalized linear models for patients with metastatic melanoma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tumor-Infiltrating CD8+ T Cells Driven by the Immune Checkpoint-Associated Gene IDO1 Are Associated With Cervical Cancer Prognosis.

TL;DR: In this article, three cervical cancer gene expression microarrays (GSE6791, GSE63678 and GSE55940) were obtained from the GEO database.

Biological Soil Crusts to Keep Soil Alive, Rehabilitate Degraded Soil, and Develop Soil Habitats

TL;DR: In this paper, what biological crusts are and their role in improving soil conditions, reducing erosion, and their use in plant germination, and as bio-fertilizer is reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immune-related adverse event profile of combination treatment of PD-(L)1 checkpoint inhibitors and bevacizumab in non-small cell lung cancer patients: data from the FDA adverse event reporting system

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the FDA Adverse event reporting system (FAERS) database from April 2013 to September 2019 to investigate the potential adverse events induced by combination treatment with checkpoint inhibitors and bevacizumab.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immune checkpoint inhibitors, endocrine adverse events, and outcomes of melanoma

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated whether endocrine adverse events (AEs) could be related with better treatment outcomes in a real-world setting of metastatic melanoma patients and found that the higher number of endocrine AEs suggest that regular laboratory monitoring aids in AE detection.

Bias in meta-analysis detected by a simple, graphical test

TL;DR: Funnel plots, plots of the trials' effect estimates against sample size, are skewed and asymmetrical in the presence of publication bias and other biases Funnel plot asymmetry, measured by regression analysis, predicts discordance of results when meta-analyses are compared with single large trials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Meta-Analysis in Clinical Trials*

TL;DR: This paper examines eight published reviews each reporting results from several related trials in order to evaluate the efficacy of a certain treatment for a specified medical condition and suggests a simple noniterative procedure for characterizing the distribution of treatment effects in a series of studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Operating characteristics of a rank correlation test for publication bias.

TL;DR: In this paper, an adjusted rank correlation test is proposed as a technique for identifying publication bias in a meta-analysis, and its operating characteristics are evaluated via simulations, and the test statistic is a direct statistical analogue of the popular funnel-graph.
