TLDR
There is substantial evidence that ICIs are associated with a small but significant increase in risk of selected all-grade irAEs and high-grade gastrointestinal and liver toxicities, and AEs should be recognized promptly as early interventions may alleviate future complications.

PD-1 and CTLA-4 inhibitors in combination vs. alone for the treatment of advanced melanoma: A systematic review and meta-analysis

TL;DR: Combination therapy with ipilimumab plus nivolumab is a promising strategy in the treatment of patients with advanced melanoma with superior overall and complete responses over either monotherapies.

Successful Steroid Treatment of Pembrolizumab-induced Agranulocytosis that Developed after Splenectomy in a Patient with Non-small-cell Lung Cancer: A Case Report.

TL;DR: In this article , a case of pembrolizumab-induced agranulocytosis was reported in an 83-year-old man with advanced stage lung carcinoma concomitant with splenomegaly complicated by hypersplenism, causing pancytopenia.

Thyroid Dland Disorders Associated with Combination of Antiangiogenic Agents and Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors: A Pharmacovigilance Study

Lu Zhuge
TL;DR: A pharmacovigilance study confirmed the increased risk of thyroid gland disorders of ICIs and anti-angiogenic agents monotherapy, however, there were no increased signals when the combination therapy was used.

Bias in meta-analysis detected by a simple, graphical test

TL;DR: Funnel plots, plots of the trials' effect estimates against sample size, are skewed and asymmetrical in the presence of publication bias and other biases Funnel plot asymmetry, measured by regression analysis, predicts discordance of results when meta-analyses are compared with single large trials.

Meta-Analysis in Clinical Trials*

TL;DR: This paper examines eight published reviews each reporting results from several related trials in order to evaluate the efficacy of a certain treatment for a specified medical condition and suggests a simple noniterative procedure for characterizing the distribution of treatment effects in a series of studies.

Operating characteristics of a rank correlation test for publication bias.

TL;DR: In this paper, an adjusted rank correlation test is proposed as a technique for identifying publication bias in a meta-analysis, and its operating characteristics are evaluated via simulations, and the test statistic is a direct statistical analogue of the popular funnel-graph.
