TLDR
There is substantial evidence that ICIs are associated with a small but significant increase in risk of selected all-grade irAEs and high-grade gastrointestinal and liver toxicities, and AEs should be recognized promptly as early interventions may alleviate future complications.

Clinical pharmacology of monoclonal antibodies targeting anti-PD-1 axis in urothelial cancers.

TL;DR: The clinical pharmacology of monoclonal antibodies targeting PD-1 axis in urothelial malignancies is described to underline possible pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic differences among them.

Different patterns of treatment-related adverse events of programmed cell death-1 and its ligand-1 inhibitors in different cancer types: A meta-analysis and systemic review of clinical trials.

TL;DR: Clinicians could estimate the risk of certain AE in certain cancer type, to make treatment options and to customize monitor strategies, and found that the most frequent AEs were fatigue, rash/pruritus, loss of appetite/nausea and diarrhea.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adverse Events of Novel Therapies for Hematologic Malignancies: What Emergency Physicians Should Know.

TL;DR: The most recent and clinically relevant developments in the arena of hematologic malignancies are discussed, further expanding on drug toxicities and their clinical presentations and offering suggestions for management.

Bias in meta-analysis detected by a simple, graphical test

TL;DR: Funnel plots, plots of the trials' effect estimates against sample size, are skewed and asymmetrical in the presence of publication bias and other biases Funnel plot asymmetry, measured by regression analysis, predicts discordance of results when meta-analyses are compared with single large trials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Meta-Analysis in Clinical Trials*

TL;DR: This paper examines eight published reviews each reporting results from several related trials in order to evaluate the efficacy of a certain treatment for a specified medical condition and suggests a simple noniterative procedure for characterizing the distribution of treatment effects in a series of studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Operating characteristics of a rank correlation test for publication bias.

TL;DR: In this paper, an adjusted rank correlation test is proposed as a technique for identifying publication bias in a meta-analysis, and its operating characteristics are evaluated via simulations, and the test statistic is a direct statistical analogue of the popular funnel-graph.
