Gestures for touch sensitive input devices

TLDR
In this article, the authors described a system for processing touch inputs with respect to a multipoint sensing device and identifying at least one multipoint gesture based on the data from the multi-point sensing device.
Abstract
Methods and systems for processing touch inputs are disclosed. The invention in one respect includes reading data from a multipoint sensing device such as a multipoint touch screen where the data pertains to touch input with respect to the multipoint sensing device, and identifying at least one multipoint gesture based on the data from the multipoint sensing device.

Inputting method and inputting apparatus

TL;DR: In this article, a detecting sensor (110) detects an approach and contact of a living body or of an object within a predetermined detection range; control means that outputs a drive signal upon detection of an approach by the detecting sensor and that performs an input processing to accept an input of a predetermined function upon a detection of a contact in a predetermined state; and an actuator (120) provides a temporary vibration in response to the drive signal outputted by the control means.

Programmable Finger-Tracking Instrument Controllers

TL;DR: In this article, it is well known that electrical couplings may be used instead of mechanical ones, and that digital instead of analog connections can be used, and the freedom of not having the controls mechanically constrained to the means of sound production brings a corresponding burden.
