Systems, apparatuses, and methods for treating tissue and controlling stenosis
TL;DR: In this paper, a coolingable ablation assembly is used to temporarily or permanently decrease the nervous system input, which can damage tissue and manage scarring and stenosis, without damaging non-targeted tissue.
Journal ArticleDOI
Airway pathology in asthma
Marina Saetta,Graziella Turato +1 more
TL;DR: This review focuses on the major cellular and structural changes present in the airways and lung parenchyma in asthma in comparison with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in an attempt to underline the possible mechanisms contributing to airflow limitation in these two diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Errors in the Use of Inhalers by Health Care Professionals: A Systematic Review.
TL;DR: The poor understanding of the correct use of these devices may prevent health care professionals from being able to adequately assess and teach proper inhalation techniques to their patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Onset of effect and impact on health-related quality of life, exacerbation rate, lung function, and nasal polyposis symptoms for patients with severe eosinophilic asthma treated with benralizumab (ANDHI): a randomised, controlled, phase 3b trial

TL;DR: Benralizumab significantly reduced exacerbation risk by 49% compared with placebo (RR estimate 0·51, 95% CI 0·39-0·65; p 5%) for patients with severe eosinophilic asthma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cosuspensions of microcrystals and engineered microparticles for uniform and efficient delivery of respiratory therapeutics from pressurized metered dose inhalers.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the cosuspension approach solves at least three long-standing problems in the clinical development of pMDI-based products: dose and drug dependent delivery efficiency, inability to formulate dose strengths below 1 μg to fully explore drug efficacy and safety, and combination suspensions delivering a different fine particle fraction than individual drug suspensions.
