TL;DR: In this paper , the importance of the Gut Microbiota impairment in the etiopathogenesis of conditions such as autism, dementia, and mood disorders has been raised, and the evidence of alterations in the inflammatory state, highlighted in disorders such as schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder, strongly recall the microbiota alteration, suggesting that alterations in GI system have an important role in neuropsychiatric disorders.
