Synthesis of tricyclic N,O-acetals from α-functionalized rubanone. A masked 1,2,3-tricarbonyl system from quinidine

TL;DR: In this article, a series of protected 2-bromorubanones derived from quinidine has been prepared diastereoselectively and converted into tricyclic N,O-acetals containing a masked 1,2,3-tricarbonyl functionality.

Heterocyclic thioesters or ketones for vision and memory disorders

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method for treating a vision disorder, improving vision, treating memory impairment, or enhancing memory performance using heterocyclic thioesters and ketones.
Journal ArticleDOI

1H-NMR determination of the solution structure and absolute configuration of FR134043, a novel inhibitor of human leukocyte elastase

TL;DR: The simulated annealing calculation described here is a frequently used method for the determination of the solution structure of peptides or small proteins and is also applicable to the determined of the absolute configuration of macrocyclic compounds produced from natural sources.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analogues of AVP modified in the N-terminal part of the molecule with Pip isomers: TFA-catalysed peptide bond hydrolysis.

TL;DR: Both the analogues of AVP and [Mpa1]AVP with identical substituents at position 2 turned out to be highly sensitive to TFA used for deprotection and cleavage of the synthesised peptides from the resin and it was the reason why the authors were not able to obtain these four peptides.
