Electric and magnetic response of hot QCD matter

T. Steinert, +1 more
- 19 Mar 2014 -
TL;DR: The phase diagram of strongly interacting hadronic/partonic matter has been a subject ofprimary interest in the physics community for decades as mentioned in this paper, and high energy heavy-ion reactions are studied experimentally and theoretically to obtaininformation about the properties of nuclear matter underthe extreme conditions of high baryon density and/ortemperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Λ Λ interaction from relativistic heavy-ion collisions

TL;DR: In this article, the correlation between a pair of hyperons emitted from a heavy-ion collision is shown to be sensitive to the $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}\mathrm{enuremath{lambda}$ interaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sonic Mach cones induced by fast partons in a perturbative quark-gluon plasma

TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived the space-time distribution of energy and momentum deposited by a fast parton traversing a weakly coupled quark-gluon plasma by treating the parton as the source of an external color field perturbing the medium and then used their result as a source term for the linearized hydrodynamical equations of the medium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Critical behavior of charmonia across the phase transition : A QCD sum rule approach

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate the medium-induced change of mass and width of hot gluonic matter using QCD sum rules, and find that the masses suddenly decrease maximally by a few hundreds of MeV and the widths broaden to $~100$ MeV slightly above the critical temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Beam energy dependence of (anti-)deuteron production in Au + Au collisions at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider

Jaroslav Adam, +315 more
- 21 Jun 2019 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report the energy dependence of mid-rapidity (anti-)deuteron production in Au+Au collisions at sNN=7.7, 11.5, 14.6, 27, 39, 62.4, and 200 GeV, measured by the STAR experiment at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider.
