Multiplicities of charged pions and kaons from semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering by the proton and the deuteron

A. Airapetian, +146 more
- 23 Apr 2013 -
TL;DR: The HERMES data were collected by the HERA storage ring using 27.6 GeV electron and positron beams incident on a hydrogen or deuterium gas target as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Freeze-out parameters: lattice meets experiment.

TL;DR: These results are obtained in a system of 2+1 quark flavors at physical quark masses and continuum extrapolated and show continuum-extrapolated results for ratios of higher order fluctuations of baryon number.
Journal ArticleDOI

Topology Studies of Hydrodynamics Using Two-Particle Correlation Analysis

TL;DR: Two-particle correlation analysis is applied to events generated with the NEXSPHERIO hydrodynamic code and shows that the nonsmoothness in the IC survives the hydroevolution and can be seen as topological features of the angular correlation function of the particles emerging from the evolving system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Systematic properties of the Tsallis distribution: Energy dependence of parameters in high energy p–p collisions

TL;DR: In this article, changes in the transverse momentum distributions with beam energy were studied using the Tsallis distribution as a parameterization, and the dependence of the parameters q, T and the volume were determined as a function of beam energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of long-range pseudorapidity correlations and azimuthal harmonics in √sNN =5.02 TeV proton-lead collisions with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2914 more
- 09 Oct 2014 -
TL;DR: In this article, the first five azimuthal harmonics, v(1) to v(5), were measured using 28 nb(-1) of p + Pb collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV measured with the ATLAS detector at the LHC.
