Effect of glucosylation of lipid intermediates on oligosaccharide transfer in solubilized microsomes from Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

TL;DR: The rate of N-glycosylation in vitro is approximately 25-fold faster with Glc3Man9GlcNAc2-P- P-dolichol than with Man9Gl cNAc 2-P -P-D-dollichol, and the apparent Km value for the glucosylation species is 75 nM, while that for the unglucosylated glycolipid is 55 nM.

Structure of oligosaccharides and the linkage region between keratan sulfate and the core protein on proteoglycans from monkey cornea.

TL;DR: The structure of the linkage region for keratan sulfate on corneal proteoglycans is clearly derived from a complex type of N-linked glycoprotein oligosaccharide precursor, indicating that only the oligosACcharides that have been processed to the complex type are used as primers for synthesizing keratan sulphate chains.
