TL;DR: Of these genes, BCL2L1 is a strong candidate for driving culture adaptation of ES cells, and single-nucleotide polymorphism analysis revealed that they included representatives of most major ethnic groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simplified protocol for flow cytometry analysis of fluorescently labeled exosomes and microvesicles using dedicated flow cytometer.
Vendula Pospichalova,Jan Svoboda,Zankruti Dave,Anna Kotrbova,Karol Kaiser,Dobromila Klemová,Ladislav Ilkovics,Aleš Hampl,Igor Crha,Eva Jandáková,Lubos Minar,Vít Weinberger,Vitezslav Bryja +12 more
TL;DR: A novel and fast approach for quantification and characterization of both exosomes and microvesicles isolated from cell culture media as well as from more complex human samples suitable for multiuser labs by using a flow cytometer especially designed for small particles, which can be used without adjustments prior to data acquisition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression and potential role of fibroblast growth factor 2 and its receptors in human embryonic stem cells

TL;DR: It is proposed that this endogenous FGF signaling pathway can be implicated in self‐renewal or differentiation of hESCs, suggesting an involvement of autocrine FGF signals in the maintenance of proliferating h ESCs in the undifferentiated state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibition of Notch Signaling in Human Embryonic Stem Cell–Derived Neural Stem Cells Delays G1/S Phase Transition and Accelerates Neuronal Differentiation In Vitro and In Vivo
Lodovica Borghese,Dasa Dolezalova,Thoralf Opitz,Simone Haupt,Anke Leinhaas,Barbara Steinfarz,Philipp Koch,Frank Edenhofer,Aleš Hampl,Oliver Brüstle +9 more
TL;DR: Interference with Notch signaling provides a tool for controlling human NSC differentiation both in vitro and in vivo.
