Subgroup-specific structural variation across 1,000 medulloblastoma genomes

Paul A. Northcott, +139 more
- 02 Aug 2012 -
TL;DR: Somatic copy number aberrations (SCNAs) in 1,087 unique medulloblastomas are reported, including recurrent events targeting TGF-β signalling in Group 3, and NF-κB signalling in Groups 4, which suggest future avenues for rational, targeted therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prognostic factors in central neurocytomas: a multicenter study of 71 cases.

TL;DR: It is suggested that the extent of surgery is the main factor to be considered in the prognostic assessment of patients with central neurocytoma, and the use of histologic criteria as reliable markers to define an “atypical” group of CNs is not supported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular characterization of central neurocytomas: potential markers for tumor typing and progression.

TL;DR: The study shows the potential involvement of various genes in the pathogenesis of CNs, and identifies genes that were highly expressed in CNs compared to normal brain and might be candidates for the molecular typing ofCNs.
