The Allelic Landscape of Human Blood Cell Trait Variation and Links to Common Complex Disease

William J. Astle, +103 more
- 17 Nov 2016 -
TL;DR: A genome-wide association analysis in the UK Biobank and INTERVAL studies is performed, providing evidence of shared genetic pathways linking blood cell indices with complex pathologies, including autoimmune diseases, schizophrenia, and coronary heart disease and evidence suggesting previously reported population associations betweenBlood cell indices and cardiovascular disease may be non-causal.
Journal ArticleDOI

DNA methylome analysis in Burkitt and follicular lymphomas identifies differentially methylated regions linked to somatic mutation and transcriptional control

TL;DR: The results demonstrate a tight connection between somatic mutation, DNA methylation and transcriptional control in key B cell pathways deregulated differentially in Burkitt lymphoma and other germinal center B cell lymphomas.
Journal ArticleDOI

The UBC-40 Urothelial Bladder Cancer cell line index: a genomic resource for functional studies.

TL;DR: A cell line classification that establishes their relatedness to the major molecularly-defined bladder tumor subtypes is provided and should help to select cell lines appropriate for the functional analysis of bladder cancer genes, for example those being identified through massive parallel sequencing.
