Whole-genome sequencing of cultivated and wild peppers provides insights into Capsicum domestication and specialization

TL;DR: It is found that dosage compensation effect of tandem duplication genes probably contributed to the pungent diversification in pepper and the Capsicum reference genome provides crucial information for the study of not only the evolution of the pepper genome but also, the Solanaceae family.
Journal ArticleDOI

A pseudo three-dimensional electrochemical–thermal model of a prismatic LiFePO4 battery during discharge process

TL;DR: In this paper, a pseudo 3D (three-dimensional) model was developed for a prismatic LiFePO4 battery by coupling the mass, charge, and energy conservations, as well as the cell electrochemical kinetics.
Journal ArticleDOI

A wave of nascent transcription on activated human genes

TL;DR: A comprehensive view of a single transcription cycle is obtained by switching on transcription of five long human genes with tumor necrosis factor-α and monitoring the appearance of nascent RNA, changes in binding of Pol II and two insulators (the cohesin subunit RAD21 and the CCCTC-binding factor CTCF), and modifications of histone H3.
