TL;DR: DataExplained as discussed by the authors is a crowdsourced initiative that allows independent analysts to test two hypotheses regarding the effects of scientists' gender and professional status on verbosity during group meetings using the same dataset.

Preregistration of Secondary Data Analysis - A template and tutorial
Olmo van den Akker,Sara J. Weston,Lorne Campbell,Bill Chopik,Rodica Ioana Damian,Pamela E. Davis-Kean,Andrew N. Hall,Jessica E. Kosie,Elliott Kruse,Jerome Olsen,Stuart J. Ritchie,KD Valentine,Anna van 't Veer,Marjan Bakker +13 more
TL;DR: This tutorial presents a template specifically designed for the preregistration of secondary data analyses and shows that completing such a template is feasible, helps limit researcher degrees of freedom, and may make researchers more deliberate in their data selection and analysis efforts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kin terms and fitness interdependence
TL;DR: Although genetic relatedness has been shown to be an important determinant of helping and other forms of cooperation among kin, it does not correspond well to the different types of kin designated by the kin terminologies used in human societies as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sex Differences in Trust and Trustworthiness - A Meta-Analysis of the Trust Game and the Gift-Exchange Game
Olmo van den Akker,Olmo van den Akker,Marcel A.L.M. van Assen,Marcel A.L.M. van Assen,Mark van Vugt,Mark van Vugt,Jelte M. Wicherts +6 more
TL;DR: A meta-analytic review of the literature on sex differences in the trust game (174 effect sizes) and the related gift-exchange game (35 effect sizes), based on parental investment theory and social role theory, is presented in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
