Introducing the CTA concept

B. S. Acharya, +982 more
TL;DR: The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) as discussed by the authors is a very high-energy (VHE) gamma ray observatory with an international collaboration with more than 1000 members from 27 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South America.
Journal ArticleDOI

The high pressure gas scintillation proportional counter on-board the BeppoSAX X-ray astronomy satellite

TL;DR: The High Pressure Gas Scintillation Proportion Counter (HPGSPC) as mentioned in this paper is one of the Narrow Field Instrument of the X-ray astronomy satellite BeppoSAX.
Journal ArticleDOI

A bepposax study of the pulsating transient x0115+63: the first x-ray spectrum with four cyclotron harmonic features

TL;DR: In this paper, cyclotron resonant scattering features at 12.74, 24.16, 35.74 and 49.5 keV are observed in the descending edge of the main peak of the pulse profile.

The dual-mirror Small Size Telescope for the Cherenkov Telescope Array

TL;DR: In this paper, the development of the dual mirror Small Size Telescopes (SST) for the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) is reviewed up to 70 SST, with a primary mirror diameter of 4 m, will be produced and installed at the CTA southern site These will allow investigation of the gamma-ray sky at the highest energies accessible to CTA, in the range from about 1 TeV to 300 TeV.
