Kwong,Mark Connors +35 more
TL;DR: A CD4-binding site (CD4bs) antibody, named N6, is reported that potently neutralized 98% of HIV-1 isolates, including 16 of 20 that were resistant to other members of its class.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) were isolated against the receptor-binding domain (RBD) or the N-terminal domain (NTD) of the SARS CoV2 spike.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mimicry of an HIV broadly neutralizing antibody epitope with a synthetic glycopeptide.

Mascola,Mattia Bonsignori,M. Anthony Moody,Samuel J. Danishefsky,Barton F. Haynes +39 more
TL;DR: The Man9-V3 glycopeptide closely mimics an HIV-1 V 3-glycan bnAb epitope and can be used to isolate V3-gly can bnAbs, which could pave the way for a vaccine that protects against diverse strains of HIV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Maternal HIV-1 envelope–specific antibody responses and reduced risk of perinatal transmission
Sallie R. Permar,Youyi Fong,Nathan Vandergrift,Genevieve G. Fouda,Peter B. Gilbert,Robert Parks,Frederick H. Jaeger,Justin Pollara,Amanda Martelli,Brooke E. Liebl,Krissey E. Lloyd,Nicole L. Yates,R. Denny,M. Anthony Moody,Georgia D. Tomaras,Feng Gao,Barton F. Haynes +40 more
TL;DR: Common V3-specific Ab responses in maternal plasma predicted a reduced risk of MTCT and mediated autologous virus neutralization, suggesting that boosting these maternal Ab responses may further reduce HIV-1 MTCT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vaccine Elicitation of High Mannose-Dependent Neutralizing Antibodies against the V3-Glycan Broadly Neutralizing Epitope in Nonhuman Primates

TL;DR: HIV-1 Env vaccination induced mannose-dependent antibodies with characteristics of V3-glycan bnAb precursors, and a structure of the antibody bound to glycan revealed that the three variable heavy-chain complementarity-determining regions formed a cavity into which glycan could insert and neutralized multiple HIV-1 isolates with high-mannose glycans.
