TL;DR: Analysis of the influence of literacy level in urban Calabar Metropolis of Cross River State, Nigeria revealed that menopausetting women who are highly literate live healthier lives than their counterparts who are averagely and lowly literate.
Abstract: This article examines the influence of literacy on the health of menopausetting (or pre-menopause) women in urban Calabar Metropolis of Cross River State, Nigeria. Two null hypotheses were formulated with a 45-item questionnaire from a representative sample size of 500 urban women between ages 35 and above, using purposive, stratified, and simple random sampling procedures. The research design is survey inferential, while data analysis was by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Fisher's multiple comparison (LSD) and Independent t-test techniques were carried out. The analysis revealed that literacy level significantly influences the health of menopausetting women and that menopausetting women who are highly literate live healthier lives than their counterparts who are averagely and lowly literate. Some recommendations were made which will enhance longevity and ultimate well-being of menopausetting women.

TL;DR: The main objectives of Economic community of west African states (ecowas) were the eventual elimination of all tariffs and trade barriers between members, the establishment of a customs union, unified fiscal policy and co-ordination of regional policies in transport, communication, energy and other infrastructural facilities as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: The main objectives of Economic community of west African states (ecowas) were the eventual elimination of all tariffs and trade barriers between members, the establishment of a customs union, unified fiscal policy and co - ordination of regional policies in transport ,communication, energy and other infrastructural facilities. To be to achieve this objective the formation of regional integration arrangement to enhance sub - regional trade becomes necessary. This analysis traced past colonial era to the present period and highlighted the challenges that militate against successful integration and also reviewed the new effort in the region to deal with potentials constraints to sub - regional trade integration especially how that regional trade blocs and multilateral institutions are promoting inter regional trade negotiations at the global level.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of cooperative small group instructional mode on cognitive achievement of boys and girls in primary science was investigated, and the results revealed no statistically significant difference in the achievement of both genders.
Abstract: The study investigated the effect of cooperative small group instructional mode on the cognitive achievement of boys and girls in primary science. Eighty-two pupils (41 girls and 41 boys) were drawn from 2 randomly selected primary schools and from 2 intact primary 5 classes in Uyo Local Government Education Authority. The subjects were exposed to 5 weeks of instruction in selected science concepts from primary 5 curriculum module. Two modes of instruction used were the cooperative small group and the whole class instructional modes. Instrument for collecting the data was the Primary Science Achieve ment Test (PSAT). Data analysis involved the use of t-test statistic. Results revealed no statistically significant difference in the achievement of boys and girls in primary science. The paper claims that cooperative small group instructional mode could remove gender bias in female pupils’ achievement in science. Keywords : cooperative small group instruction, gender bias in achievement, science achievement

TL;DR: The disturbance regimes of the midstream reaches of Agbokum waterfalls combined with its very low faunal and floral diversity has made the environment unstable therefore susceptible to the invasion of disturbance tolerant biota.
Abstract: Waterfallsgivestheimpressionofalifelesszonebecauseresearchershave historically focused on the hydrology, ecotourism and geological features. Effective management will require an understanding of changes in species composition and distribution of macro-biota. Monthly samples were taken in wet and dry seasons, over two year period in three regions along the 6817.7 m length of the Agbokum waterfalls. Macro-biota exhibited distinct pattern in respect of seasonal and spatial changes. Trachelomonas volzii, themostabundantphytoplanktonspeciesreducedfrom686inthedryseasonto143inthewet,andfrom455downstreamto91,midstream(waterfalls region). Zooplankton species Calanus finmarchicus decreased from 511 during dry season to 36 in the wet and from 334 downstream to 7, midstream. 71.7 percent of the total macro-invertebrates were recorded from downstream reaches while only 6.3 percent were contributed by midstream. Percentage cover of marginal vegetation byBambusasp, SymphoniaandElaeis guineesisdisplayed progressive increase from upstream reaching a maximum of 38.5 mean percent cover in the relatively undisturbed downstream. In contrast, Raphia vinifera, Havea brasiliensis, Grewia sp. and Cocos nucifera shrank in size from 34% to 8% at the midstream stretches of the river while only nymphia- rich vegetation becomes more frequent in the middle reaches. The disturbance regimes of the midstream reaches of Agbokum waterfalls combined with its very low faunal and floral diversity has made the environment unstable therefore susceptible to the invasion of disturbance tolerant biota.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the risk-return performance of residential and commercial real estate investments in South-South, Nigeria from 2009 to 2018 and showed that residential real estate investment in Port Harcourt has the highest mean total return and performed better than Calabar and Uyo.
Abstract: The study measures the risk-return performance of residential and commercial real estate investments in South-South, Nigeria from 2009 to 2018. The study adopted the survey research design and purposive sampling technique was used to select estate surveying and valuation firms. Data was analysed using mean total returns, standard deviation and analysis of variance. The test of the first hypothesis indicates that residential real estate investment in Port Harcourt has the highest mean total return and performed better than Calabar and Uyo and implies that total returns of residential real estate investments are significantly different in the study area. For commercial property, Uyo outperformed that of Calabar and Port Harcourt in terms of return. The second hypothesis results indicate that location of property is a significant determinant of risk. The result shows that the mean risk in Port Harcourt for residential real estate investment is significantly different from the risk in Calabar and Uyo. This implies that there is significant difference between risks of residential properties in the study area. For commercial property investment risk, the result shows the risks of investment in offices are higher than shops. For location, Uyo commercial properties produced the highest risk.
