Abstract: The present study focuses on the middle atmospheric ozone variability using 14 (2002–2015) years of Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry onboard Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energetics and Dynamics satellite observations over the mid-latitude regions of northern and southern hemispheres. It is noted that ozone buildup starts late winter, and peaks during the springtime and gradually decreases in summer to autumn transitional period in both the hemispheres. The time series of ozone indicates the dominant annual and semi-annual oscillations in the middle atmosphere. The annual oscillation (AO) is found to be dominant over both the hemispheres, while the semi-annual oscillation (SAO) peaks at two different altitude regions: 30–60 km and 80–100 km. Further, the amplitude of AO is much significant than SSAO and MSAO. It is also noted another significant oscillation that peaks at ~ 4 months in the altitude range 60–80 km. The strength of these oscillations at different sites is studied by comparing it with the zonal mean spectrum to assess the longitudinal asymmetry. It is found that the longitudinal asymmetry is more significant in the northern hemisphere than the southern hemisphere. This can be attributed to the differences in the land (elevated topographies in the northern hemisphere) and primarily ocean (in southern hemisphere) contrast that further contributes to the differences in the strength of the vertically propagating planetary-scale waves modulating the middle atmospheric ozone.

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison between pre and post-merger financial performance in terms of net profit margin, return on net worth and return on long-term fund is done by applying Mean score and paired sample t-test.
Abstract: Banking Industry plays an important role in the economic development of India. For strengthening structure of banks, merger is adopted. This study is undertaken with an objective to check improvement in financial performance of banks after merger. This study is undertaken on selected 4 banks where 2 banks are private sector banks and 2 public sector banks. For this study, data of 10 years, i.e. 5 years before merger and 5 years after merger are considered. A comparison between pre and post-merger financial performance in terms of net profit margin, return on net worth, return on long-term fund and return on assets is done. This Study is undertaken by applying Mean score and paired sample t-test. For IDBI Bank, merger has improved financial performance where as for other banks merger remain somewhat beneficial as par as financial performance is concern. Overall impact of merger and acquisition is positive on Indian banking sector. It can be concluded that merger between the two banks is beneficial for Indian banks. Merger does not resulted in improvement of financial performance of any bank. This study is useful to investors and depositors to take their investment decisions.

TL;DR: This paper analyzes the present GUI Grid - Alchemi with its components and challenges and proposes a toolkit-Scady which solves the challenges of AlChemi and provides higher performance.
Abstract: Grid computing has resulted in faster execution of applications. Day by day the requirement for execution speed of applications is increasing. To achieve this, suitable middleware is needed and to be configured requirement specific. An application can be executed faster only when there is no node failure or network failure. Moreover, at run time, if a node fails, there should be some alternative arrangement to reconfigure other node to complete the task which was supposed to be done by the failed node. Thus, a middleware is needed that can be configured according to the requirements of the application. Such a middleware would help in increasing the performance of the application. In most of the middleware available presently, dynamic configuration is not facilitated. This has become one of the reasons for the failure of adoption or implementation of Grid in many organizations. This paper analyzes the present GUI Grid - Alchemi with its components and challenges. It also proposes a toolkit-Scady which solves the challenges of Alchemi and provides higher performance. Two experiments are done and their result analysis shows the performance of the proposed toolkit.
