TL;DR: In this article, a compact U-slot microstrip patch antenna with reconfigurable polarization is proposed for wireless local area network (WLAN) applications, which enables switching between linear and circular polarization by using a PIN diode and a capacitor located on the U- slot.
Abstract: A compact U-slot microstrip patch antenna with reconfigurable polarization is proposed for wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. PIN diodes are appropriately positioned to change the length of the U-slot arms, which alters the antenna's polarization state. Two antenna prototypes with identical dimensions are designed, fabricated and measured. The first antenna prototype enables switching between linear and circular polarization by using a PIN diode and a capacitor located on the U-slot. The second antenna prototype uses two PIN diodes to switch between the two circular polarization senses. A good impedance match (S11 ≤-10 dB) for both linear and circular polarization is achieved from 5.725 to 5.85 GHz, a band typically used for WLAN applications, and the 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth is greater than 2.8%. Details of the simulated and measured reflection coefficient, axial ratio, gain and radiation patterns are presented.

TL;DR: The community detection is solved as a multiobjective optimization problem by using the multiobjectives evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition, which maximizes the density of internal degrees, and minimizes thedensity of external degrees simultaneously.
Abstract: Community structure is an important property of complex networks. Most optimization-based community detection algorithms employ single optimization criteria. In this study, the community detection is solved as a multiobjective optimization problem by using the multiobjective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition. The proposed algorithm maximizes the density of internal degrees, and minimizes the density of external degrees simultaneously. It can produce a set of solutions which can represent various divisions to the networks at different hierarchical levels. The number of communities is automatically determined by the non-dominated individuals resulting from our algorithm. Experiments on both synthetic and real-world network datasets verify that our algorithm is highly efficient at discovering quality community structure.

Abstract: Along with the rapid development and wide application of information technology, human society is entering the information era. In this era, people live and work in cyberspace, which is a collection of all infor-mation systems, and the information environment for human survival. Therefore, ensuring cyberspace security is necessary. This paper provides a comprehensive introduction to the research and development, existing prob-lems, and some popular research topics on the cyberspace concept, cyberspace security discipline, cryptography, network security, information system security, and information content security.

TL;DR: Simulation results demonstrate significant performance gains are obtained for both networks, thanks to the use of the proposed cooperative MCR-NOMA scheme, and it is demonstrated that higher spatial diversity order can be achieved by opportunistically utilizing the CSI available for the secondary user scheduling.
Abstract: Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is emerging as a promising, yet challenging, multiple access technology to improve spectrum utilization for the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks. In this paper, the application of NOMA to multicast cognitive radio networks (termed as MCR-NOMA) is investigated. A dynamic cooperative MCR-NOMA scheme is proposed, where the multicast secondary users serve as relays to improve the performance of both primary and secondary networks. Based on the available channel state information (CSI), three different secondary user scheduling strategies for the cooperative MCR-NOMA scheme are presented. To evaluate the system performance, we derive the closed-form expressions of the outage probability and diversity order for both networks. Furthermore, we introduce a new metric, referred to as mutual outage probability to characterize the cooperation benefit compared to non-cooperative MCR-NOMA scheme. Simulation results demonstrate significant performance gains are obtained for both networks, thanks to the use of our proposed cooperative MCR-NOMA scheme. It is also demonstrated that higher spatial diversity order can be achieved by opportunistically utilizing the CSI available for the secondary user scheduling.

TL;DR: In this article, a metasurface-based decoupling method was proposed to reduce the mutual couplings at two independent bands of two coupled multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antennas.
Abstract: In this communication, a metasurface-based decoupling method (MDM) is proposed to reduce the mutual couplings at two independent bands of two coupled multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antennas. The metasurface superstrate is composed of pairs of non-uniform cut wires with two different lengths. It is compact in size and effective in decoupling two nearby dual-band patch antennas that are strongly coupled in the H-plane with the edge-to-edge spacing of only 0.008 wavelength at low-frequency band (LB). The antenna is fabricated and measured and the results show that the isolation between two dual-band antennas can be improved to more than 25 dB at both 2.5–2.7 GHz and 3.4–3.6 GHz bands, while their reflection coefficients remain to be below −10 dB after the metasurface superstrate is introduced. Moreover, the total efficiency is improved by about 15% in the low band and the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) between the two antennas is reduced from 0.46 to 0.08 at 2.6 GHz and 0.08 to 0.01 at 3.5 GHz. The proposed method can find plenty of applications in dual-band MIMO and 5G communication systems.
