Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 99 cases of 2019 novel coronavirus pneumonia in Wuhan, China: a descriptive study

TLDR
Characteristics of patients who died were in line with the MuLBSTA score, an early warning model for predicting mortality in viral pneumonia, and further investigation is needed to explore the applicability of the Mu LBSTA scores in predicting the risk of mortality in 2019-nCoV infection.

Clinical Characteristics of 2019 Novel Coronavirus Infection

TL;DR: The clinical spectrum of 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) infection is still being defined, but investigators describe the characteristics of 99 patients infected with the virus.

Neurological complications of coronavirus infection; a comparative review and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.

TL;DR: The most common neurological complaints in COVID-19 were anosmia, ageusia, and headache, but more serious complications, such as stroke, impairment of consciousness, seizures, and encephalopathy, have also been reported.

Public discourse and sentiment during the COVID 19 pandemic: Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation for topic modeling on Twitter

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used machine learning techniques to analyze about 1.9 million tweets related to COVID-19 collected from January 23 to March 7, 2020 and found that fear for the unknown nature of the coronavirus is dominant in all topics.

Neurologic and neuroimaging findings in patients with COVID-19: A retrospective multicenter study.

TL;DR: COVID-19 patients may develop a wide range of neurological symptoms, which can be associated with severe and fatal complications, such as ischemic stroke or encephalitis, and the pathophysiology seems to involve an immune and/or inflammatory process given the presence of signs of inflammation in both cerebrospinal fluid and neuroimaging.

Isolation of a Novel Coronavirus from a Man with Pneumonia in Saudi Arabia

TL;DR: The clinical picture was remarkably similar to that of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak in 2003 and reminds us that animal coronaviruses can cause severe disease in humans.

Origin and evolution of pathogenic coronaviruses

TL;DR: The viral factors that enabled the emergence of diseases such as severe acute respiratory syndrome and Middle East respiratory syndrome are explored and the diversity and potential of bat-borne coronaviruses are highlighted.
