NOx control in coal combustion by combining biomass co-firing, oxygen enrichment and SNCR

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of combining biomass co-firing with selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) under various oxygen enriched and air-staging conditions performed in the 20 kW combustion facility was analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of diamond from methane and nitrogen mixture

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that diamond can be synthesized from a mixture of CH4 and N2 without adding any H2, which is different from the common practice of diamond growth by chemical vapor deposition.

Effect of Syngas Composition and CO2-Diluted Oxygen on Performance of a Premixed Swirl-Stabilized Combustor

TL;DR: In this article, the operation at atmospheric pressure of a small, optically accessible swirl-stabilized premixed combustor, burning fuels ranging from pure methane to conventional and H 2-rich and H2-lean syngas mixtures is investigated.

Measurements of the Influence of Soot Radiation on In-Cylinder Temperatures and Exhaust NOx in a Heavy-Duty DI Diesel Engine

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of radiative heat transfer on in-cylinder temperatures and NOx formation was investigated in a diesel engine with low-load conditions, where the premixed burn was a significant fraction of the total heat release.
