Stability limits and NO emissions of premixed swirl ammonia-air flames enriched with hydrogen or methane at elevated pressures

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report measurements of stability limits and exhaust NO mole fractions of theoretically-premixed swirl ammonia-air flames enriched with either methane or hydrogen, at different pressures from atmospheric to 5 bar, representative of commercial micro gas turbines.

Ab Initio Quantum Chemical and Kinetic Modeling Study of the Pyrolysis Kinetics of Pyrrole

TL;DR: Mackie et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the kinetics of pyrolysis of pyrrole by ab initio quantum chemical techniques and by detailed chemical kinetic modeling of previously reported experimental results, and the overall kinetics can be successfully modeled by a 117 step kinetic model that gives good agreement with temperature profiles of major products and also provides an acceptable fit for minor products.

Ethane ignition and oxidation behind reflected shock waves

TL;DR: In this article, several diluted C{sub 2}H{sub 6}/O{ sub 2}/Ar mixtures of varying concentrations and equivalence ratios (0.5<{phi}<2.0) were studied at temperatures between 1218 and 1860 K and at pressures between 0.57 and 3.0 atm using a shock tube.

Formation of HNCO from the rapid pyrolysis of coals

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the first observation of the formation of isocyanic acid, HNCO, from the pyrolysis of coals and discuss the possible implications of this observation for the release and subsequent fate of volatile N species during coal pyrotelysis and combustion.

An experimental investigation of NO2 emission characteristics of a heavy-duty H2-diesel dual fuel engine

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the nitrogen dioxide (NO 2 ) emissions of a heavy-duty diesel engine operated in hydrogen (H 2 )-diesel dual fuel combustion mode with H 2 supplemented into the intake air.
