Day tour itineraries: Searching for the balance between commercial needs and experiential desires

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the impact of the business model on the selection of day tour itineraries in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China and found that experiential values are traded off almost entirely in the itineraries of commission-based tours, while a better balance between experience and operational considerations drives itinerary choices for non-commission based tours.

TL;DR: Findings from a study aiming to explore the psychosocial climate and its influence on the well-being of people with dementia in a psycho-geriatric hospital unit suggest staff were catalysts for the psycho-social climate and when being present and engaged they could create a climate interpreted as at-homeness which supported patient well- being.
