Course Description This is an advanced course in which we explore the field of Statistical Optics. Topics covered include such subjects as the statistical properties of natural (thermal) and laser light, spatial and temporal coherence, effects of partial coherence on optical imaging instruments, effects on imaging due to randomly inhomogeneous media, and a statistical treatment of the detection of light. An adaptive total variation image reconstruction method for speckles through disordered media
TL;DR: In this article, an adaptive total variation (ATV) algorithm, which is based on augmented Lagrangian and alternating direction algorithm, is utilized to reconstruct the target image. But the reconstructed results can overcome the diffraction limit of the clean system, therefore being conductive to the observation of cells and protein molecules in biological tissues and other structures in micro/nano scale.
