TLDR
The equations derived here have been applied to various permeability measurements found in the literature, such as the penetration of heavy water into animal cells, permeability of blood vessels, threshold concentration of plasmolysis and relaxation experiments with artificial membranes.About:

How does stent expansion alter drug transport properties of the arterial wall
TL;DR: This model incorporates the state-of-the art description of the mechanical properties of arterial tissue though an anisotropic, hyperelastic material model and includes a nonlinear saturable binding model to describe drug transport in the arterial wall.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transport properties of oleuropein through nanofiltration membranes
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of feed concentration and magnitudes of applied pressure of olive-extracted oleuropein on permeate flux and membrane transport properties through concentration polarization in a nanofiltration (NF) membrane was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Osmotic water transport in aquaporins: evidence for a stochastic mechanism.
TL;DR: A novel model of osmosis in aquaporins is tested and it is proposed that only reflected molecules induce osmotic water transport, while permeating molecules give rise to no water transport.

TL;DR: Water permeability in intact arteries is mapped using coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy and isotopic perfusion experiments to indicate that arterial pressure equilibrates within the endothelium and is transmitted to the supporting basement membrane and internal elastic lamina macromolecules with minimal deformation of the sensitive endothelial cell.

Filtration, diffusion and molecular sieving through peripheral capillary membranes; a contribution to the pore theory of capillary permeability.
TL;DR: Theoretical and experimental studies on the sieving of molecules by ultrafiltration through porous membranes indicate that an effective pore diameter of at least IOO A would be required to explain permeability of this magnitude.

Passage of Molecules Through Capillary Walls
TL;DR: A wealth of evidence supports the view that the exchange of materials through the walls of living capillaries takes place by physical processes which involve no expenditure of energy on the part of the capillary endothelial cells themselves.
