Variants of β-casofensin, a bioactive milk peptide, differently modulate the intestinal barrier: In vivo and ex vivo studies in rats.

TLDR
The substitution of a single amino acid alters the effect of β-CN sequence f94 to 123 on goblet cells and on intestinal permeability and a genetic polymorphism ofβ-CN can affect the biological activity of peptides derived from this protein.

Genetic potential of Sindhi cattle for A2 milk production

TL;DR: The high frequency of the A2A2 genotype in Sindhi cattle indicates a genetic potential of the breed for A2 milk production and easy, assisted selection (if that is the intention).

Effect of caseinate glycation with oligochitosan and transglutaminase on the intestinal barrier function of the tryptic caseinate digest in IEC-6 cells.

TL;DR: It is highlighted that the used TGase-type glycation endowed the oligochitosan-glycated caseinate with a potential functional food ingredient to strengthen the epithelial barrier function, which might be a helpful event to intestinal health.

Review: The effect of casein genetic variants, glycosylation and phosphorylation on bovine milk protein structure, technological properties, nutrition and product manufacture

TL;DR: In this paper , the influence of casein genetic variants, phosphorylation and glycosylation modifications on the compositional and functional properties of milk is not yet fully elucidated, and the properties of certain casein variants associate with human nutrition and the physicochemical and sensory characteristics of dairy products.
