TLDR
Z-Tree as mentioned in this paper is a toolbox for ready-made economic experiments, which allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time and is stable and easy to use.
Abstract
z-Tree (Zurich Toolbox for Ready-made Economic Experiments) is a software for developing and conducting economic experiments. The software is stable and allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time. In this article, I present the guiding principles behind the software design, its features, and its limitations.

Peaks and valleys : Price discovery in experimental asset markets with non-monotonic fundamentals

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied how the trajectory of fundamental values affects price discovery in an experimental asset market and found that prices track the value, the direction of the trend, and changes in trend more closely than in the valley treatment.

Judgmental overconfidence: Three measures, one bias?

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the perception of signal precision and measures of miscalibration are unrelated, and thus conclude that in order to test the theoretical predictions of the overconfidence literature in economics and finance, one cannot rely on the well-established miscalibrration bias.

An experimental study of bidding in contests of incomplete information

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report the results of an experimental study of bidding in contests under different information and symmetry conditions about players' costs of effort, which predicts qualitatively different comparative statics between bids under complete and incomplete information.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cooperation Spillovers and Price Competition in Experimental Markets

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors use experiments to examine how competitive interactions affect agents' propensity to cooperate and study spillovers that may involve cooperation in one domain and competition in another (such as in a market).
Journal ArticleDOI

Is what you see all there is

TL;DR: Experimental studies how people form beliefs in these contexts, in particular the mechanisms behind errors in statistical reasoning, and provides causal evidence that the frequency of such incorrect mental models is a function of the computational complexity of the decision problem.

z-Tree - Zurich toolbox for readymade economic experiments: experimenter's manual

TL;DR: The z-tree toolbox for readymade economic experiments as discussed by the authors allows to program and conduct a wide range of experiments, including simultaneous and sequential games as well as market experiments and posted offer markets.

A simple mechanism for the efficient provision of public goods - experimental evidence

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of experiments designed to investigate the factor of incentive mechanisms in the case of private provisions of public goods is presented. But the results showed that the proposed incentive mechanism is very promising.

RatImage - research Assistance Toolbox for Computer-Aided Human Behavior Experiments

TL;DR: RatImage contains Borland Turbo Pascal constans, variables, functions, and procedures which, when used, relieve programmers of many tedious and complex tasks, like graphical output, keyboard handling, mouse control, file access, and network communication.
