TLDR
Z-Tree as mentioned in this paper is a toolbox for ready-made economic experiments, which allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time and is stable and easy to use.
Abstract
z-Tree (Zurich Toolbox for Ready-made Economic Experiments) is a software for developing and conducting economic experiments. The software is stable and allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time. In this article, I present the guiding principles behind the software design, its features, and its limitations.

Punish and voice: punishment enhances cooperation when combined with norm-signalling.

TL;DR: This work argues and provides experimental evidence that successful human cooperation is the outcome of the interaction between instrumental decision-making and the norm psychology humans are provided with, and test the hypothesis that cooperation is a product of norm psychology solicited by norm-signalling and coercive devices.

Preference intensities and risk aversion in school choice: a laboratory experiment

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate in the laboratory prominent mechanisms that are employed in school choice programs to assign students to public schools and study how individual behavior is influenced by preference intensities and risk aversion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Contracts, reference points, and competition—behavioral effects of the fundamental transformation

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of incomplete ex ante contracts for ex post trade was investigated and it was shown that incomplete contracts provide a reference point for entitlements when the terms are negotiated in a competitive market.

Individual Versus Group Behavior and the Role of the Decision Making Procedure in Gift-exchange Experiments

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the mere fact of being a group member shifts initial individual choices towards the game-theoretic equilibrium in a group interaction process and show that this result may depend crucially on the decision-making procedure within groups.

Car Mechanics in the Lab - Investigating the Behavior of Real Experts on Experimental Markets for Credence Goods

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate whether professional car mechanics react in the same way to changes in informational and institutional constraints, and find qualitatively similar effects in the fraud dimensions of undertreatment and overcharging for both subject pools, which could be a result of decision heuristics they learned in their professional training.

z-Tree - Zurich toolbox for readymade economic experiments: experimenter's manual

TL;DR: The z-tree toolbox for readymade economic experiments as discussed by the authors allows to program and conduct a wide range of experiments, including simultaneous and sequential games as well as market experiments and posted offer markets.

A simple mechanism for the efficient provision of public goods - experimental evidence

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of experiments designed to investigate the factor of incentive mechanisms in the case of private provisions of public goods is presented. But the results showed that the proposed incentive mechanism is very promising.

RatImage - research Assistance Toolbox for Computer-Aided Human Behavior Experiments

TL;DR: RatImage contains Borland Turbo Pascal constans, variables, functions, and procedures which, when used, relieve programmers of many tedious and complex tasks, like graphical output, keyboard handling, mouse control, file access, and network communication.
