TLDR
Z-Tree as mentioned in this paper is a toolbox for ready-made economic experiments, which allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time and is stable and easy to use.
Abstract
z-Tree (Zurich Toolbox for Ready-made Economic Experiments) is a software for developing and conducting economic experiments. The software is stable and allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time. In this article, I present the guiding principles behind the software design, its features, and its limitations.

Winners don’t punish

TL;DR: It is shown that the option of costly punishment increases the amount of cooperation but not the average payoff of the group, which suggests that costly punishment behaviour is maladaptive in cooperation games and might have evolved for other reasons.

oTree—An open-source platform for laboratory, online, and field experiments

TL;DR: oTree as mentioned in this paper is an open-source and online software for implementing interactive experiments in the laboratory, online, the field or combinations thereof; it can run on any device that has a web browser, be that a desktop computer, a tablet or a smartphone.

Testing theories of fairness—Intentions matter

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide experimental evidence for the behavioral relevance of fairness intentions in both the domains of negatively and positively reciprocal behavior and show that the attribution of fairness intention is important in both domains of positively and negatively reciprocal behavior, while models that focus exclusively on intentions or on the distribution of material payoffs are not.

Reference Points and Effort Provision

TL;DR: The authors found that effort provision is significantly different between treatments in the way predicted by models of expectation-based reference-dependent preferences: if expectations are high, subjects work longer and earn more money than if expectations were low.

On the Nature of Fair Behavior

TL;DR: The authors showed that identical offers in an ultimatum game trigger vastly different rejection rates depending on the other offers available to the proposer, which casts serious doubt on the consequentialist practice in standard economic theory that defines the utility of an action solely in terms of the consequences of this action.

A simple mechanism for the efficient provision of public goods - experimental evidence

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of experiments designed to investigate the factor of incentive mechanisms in the case of private provisions of public goods is presented. But the results showed that the proposed incentive mechanism is very promising.
