TLDR
Z-Tree as mentioned in this paper is a toolbox for ready-made economic experiments, which allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time and is stable and easy to use.
Abstract
z-Tree (Zurich Toolbox for Ready-made Economic Experiments) is a software for developing and conducting economic experiments. The software is stable and allows programming almost any kind of experiments in a short time. In this article, I present the guiding principles behind the software design, its features, and its limitations.

Promoting cooperation in nonlinear social dilemmas through peer punishment

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the effectiveness of peer punishment in a linear public good game to the effect of this decentralized enforcement mechanism in two nonlinear social dilemma games: a piecewise linear game and a common pool resource game, and found that the impact of punishment is weaker and takes longer to be effective.

Heterogeneity and Cooperation: The Role of Capability and Valuation on Public Goods Provision.

TL;DR: The authors investigate the effects of two different sources of heterogeneity, capability and valuation, on the provision of public goods when punishment is possible or not, and find that asymmetric valuations for the public good have negative effects on cooperation and its enforcement through informal sanctions.

Risk-Taking Tournaments: Theory and Experimental Evidence

TL;DR: It is shown that risk-taking behavior crucially depends on this correlation between the outcomes of the risky strategies as well as on the size of a potential lead of one of the contestants.

Auctions of Homogeneous Goods with Increasing Returns: Experimental Comparison of Alternative Dutch Auctions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compare two commonly used auction formats for selling multiple homogeneous objects, both sometimes called "Dutch" auctions, in a set of value environments that include synergies and potentially subject bidders to the "exposure" and "free-riding" problems.
Journal ArticleDOI

The disposition effect and loss aversion: Do gender differences matter?

TL;DR: The authors analyzed gender differences in the disposition effect in an experiment based on Weber and Camerer (1998) and found that female investors realize less capital losses, have significantly higher disposition effects and are more loss averse than men.

z-Tree - Zurich toolbox for readymade economic experiments: experimenter's manual

TL;DR: The z-tree toolbox for readymade economic experiments as discussed by the authors allows to program and conduct a wide range of experiments, including simultaneous and sequential games as well as market experiments and posted offer markets.

A simple mechanism for the efficient provision of public goods - experimental evidence

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of experiments designed to investigate the factor of incentive mechanisms in the case of private provisions of public goods is presented. But the results showed that the proposed incentive mechanism is very promising.

RatImage - research Assistance Toolbox for Computer-Aided Human Behavior Experiments

TL;DR: RatImage contains Borland Turbo Pascal constans, variables, functions, and procedures which, when used, relieve programmers of many tedious and complex tasks, like graphical output, keyboard handling, mouse control, file access, and network communication.
