Journal ArticleDOI

GRK1-Dependent Phosphorylation of S and M Opsins and Their Binding to Cone Arrestin during Cone Phototransduction in the Mouse Retina

TL;DR: The results demonstrate, for the first time in a mammalian species, that cone opsins are phosphorylated and that CAR binds toosphorylated cone opsin phosphorylation after light activation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Barrier to autointegration factor interacts with the cone-rod homeobox and represses its transactivation function

TL;DR: It is suggested that Baf may contribute to the phenotype of a photoreceptor degenerative disease by modifying the activity of Crx, and may play a role in regulating tissue- or cell type-specific gene expression by interacting with homeodomain transcription factors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transcriptional Regulation of Rod Photoreceptor Homeostasis Revealed by In Vivo NRL Targetome Analysis

TL;DR: An integrated analysis of NRL-centered gene regulatory network is reported by coupling chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by high-throughput sequencing (ChIP–Seq) data from Illumina and ABI platforms with global expression profiling and in vivo knockdown studies, finding genes involved in photoreceptor function include binding sites for both NRL and homeodomain protein CRX.
