Journal ArticleDOI

The clonal and mutational evolution spectrum of primary triple-negative breast cancers

TL;DR: It is shown that understanding the biology and therapeutic responses of patients with TNBC will require the determination of individual tumour clonal genotypes, and for the first time in an epithelial tumour subtype, the relative abundance of clonal frequencies among cases representative of the population is determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cell-of-Origin Patterns Dominate the Molecular Classification of 10,000 Tumors from 33 Types of Cancer.

Katherine A Hoadley, +738 more

TL;DR: Molecular similarities among histologically or anatomically related cancer types provide a basis for focused pan-cancer analyses, such as pan-gastrointestinal, Pan-gynecological, pan-kidney, and pan-squamous cancers, and those related by stemness features, which may inform strategies for future therapeutic development.
Journal ArticleDOI

PyClone: statistical inference of clonal population structure in cancer

TL;DR: PyClone is a Bayesian clustering method for grouping sets of deeply sequenced somatic mutations into putative clonal clusters while estimating their cellular prevalences and accounting for allelic imbalances introduced by segmental copy-number changes and normal-cell contamination.
