Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structure and spectroscopy of a most unusual Cu(II) coordination compound containing an infinite chain of lattice ligand interwoven with stacked sheets of neutral bis(2-aminopyrimidine-bridged) copper ions: X-ray structure of [Cu(ampym)2(H2O)2(CF3SO3)2](ampym)2(ampym)2

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of Cu(II) triflate with an excess of 2-aminopyrimidine (ampym) in ethanol followed by slow crystallization results in a most unusual crystal lattice, which can be considered as consisting of two interpenetrating sublattices.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structures, spectroscopy and magnetism of Cu(II) bromide adducts with bis(2-benzimidazolyl)alkanes: influence of alkyl bridge on the degree of distortion from tetrahedral

TL;DR: In this paper, spectroscopic and magnetic measurements of three mononuclear copper(II) bromide compounds with the ligands bis(2-benzimidazolyl)ethane (abbreviated as dbz), bis(1-propane)propane, and bis (2-bzimide)butane, with the general formula [Cu(L)Br2] have been determined, together with the X-ray structure of two of the three compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of ruthenium(II) complexes with the new ligand 2-phenylazopyridine-5-sulfonic acid (HSAZPY): in search for new anticancer agents

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and characterization of the new water-soluble ligand 2-phenylazopyridine-5-sulfonic acid (Hsazpy) is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

A 2D [FeII-bistetrazole] coordination polymer exhibiting spin-crossover properties

TL;DR: The reaction of 1,3-bis(tetrazol-1-yl)-2-propanol (btzpol) with Fe(BF4)2 · 6H2O in acetonitrile yields the remarkable 2D coordination polymer as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

A pyrazole derivative of aminoethane as a tridentate chelating ligand towards transition metals. The X-ray structure of [N,N-bis(pyrazol-1-ylmethyl)aminoethane]dibromocopper(II)

TL;DR: In this paper, the syntheses and characterization of transition-metal co-ordination compounds containing the newly synthesized ligand N,N-bis(pyrazol-1-ylmethyl)aminoethane (bpae) are described.
