Journal ArticleDOI

The new multi-directional polydentate ligand 2,4,6-(di-pyridin-2-yl-amino)-[1,3,5]triazine (dpyatriz) can discriminate between Zn(II) and Co(II) nitrate.

TL;DR: The rigid multidentate tri-directional and potentially nonadentate ligand 2,4,6-(di-pyridin-2-yl-amino)-[1,3,5]triazine (dpyatriz) is able to differentiate between Co(II) and Zn(II), and the molecular structure of the free ligand has also been determined using XRD as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chelating ligands as powerful additives to manganese driers for solvent-borne and water-borne alkyd paints

TL;DR: In this article, the results of time-resolved FTIR experiments revealed that amp is more suitable than hmp for application in emulsion paints, and the drying performance of manganese salts in combination with amp or hmp in actual alkyd paint systems is in reasonable agreement with the findings from model systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transition metal coordination compounds of two pyrazole-substituted ammonia ligands. X-ray structure of [Biss(1-pyrazolylmethyl)aminecobalt(II)] bis(nitrate)

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis, spectroscopy and structure of mononuclear transition metal coordination compounds of the ligands tris(1-pyrazolylmethyl)amine (amtp) and bis(1 -pyrazylmethyl)amines (am2p) are described.
