Journal ArticleDOI

Extended Networks Generated from the Interaction of Rare-Earth(III) Ions and Pyridine-2-carboxamide-Based Ligands

TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of the ligand 1,4-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)butane (L) with RECl3 afforded complexes of general formula [RE(L)1.5Cl2(CH3OH)]Cl·nS (RE = Pr, Nd, Eu, Tb; n = 4, S = H2O, n = 5, S= CH3OH).
Book ChapterDOI

Copper-catalyzed oxidative decarboxylation of aliphatic carboxylic acids

TL;DR: In this paper, the copper-catalyzed oxidative decarboxylation of aliphatic carboxylic acids proceeds through an initial inner sphere one- or two-electron transfer, yielding a carboxyl radical or cation respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new imidazole-containing octadentate ligand, capable of binding two metal ions; the X-ray structure of the dinuclear ZnCl2 adduct of 1,1,4,7,7-penta(benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)-1,4,7-triazaheptane

TL;DR: In this article, the X-ray structure of the Zn compound showed that one Zn atom is six-coordinated by one Cl and five N atoms, whereas the second Zn atoms is five-coordinated by three N and two Cl atoms.
Journal ArticleDOI

An alternating chain of spider-like tris(peptides) stabilized by stacking and by N-H...N and N-H...O=C hydrogen bonding

TL;DR: The X-ray crystal structure of the trispeptide N,N′,N″-tris(2-aminopyridine)benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxamide shows the unexpected formation of a new extended polymeric architecture as mentioned in this paper.
