Measurement of inclusive two-particle angular correlations in pp collisions with the atlas detector at the LHC

Georges Aad, +3080 more
TL;DR: In this article, a measurement of two-particle angular correlations in proton-proton collisions at root s = 900 GeV and 7 TeV is presented, where a complex structure in pseudorapidity and azimuth is observed at both collision energies.
Journal ArticleDOI

On-site background measurements for the J-PARC E56 experiment: A search for the sterile neutrino at J-PARC MLF

TL;DR: The J-PARC E56 experiment as mentioned in this paper aims to search for sterile neutrinos at the Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) in order to examine the feasibility of the experiment, measured the background rates of different detector candidate sites, which are located at the third floor of the MLF, using a detector consisting of plastic scintillators with a fiducial mass of 500 kg.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dark matter sensitivities of the MAJORANA demonstrator

G. K. Giovanetti, +109 more
TL;DR: The Majorana Demonstrator as mentioned in this paper is an array of natural and enriched high purity germanium detectors that will search for the neutrinoless double-beta decay of Germanium-76 and perform a search for weakly interacting massive particles with masses below 10 GeV.
