Seufert,Lukas Siebicke,Jean-François Soussana,Riccardo Valentini,Timo Vesala,Hans Verbeeck,Hans Verbeeck,Dan Yakir +54 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a site evaluation approach combining Lagrangian Stochastic footprint modeling with a quality assessment approach for eddy-covariance data was applied to 25 forested sites of the CarboEurope-IP network.
Journal ArticleDOI

Waldrop,Yihui Wang,Jeffrey M. Welker,Jeffrey M. Welker,Christian Wille,Xiaofeng Xu,Zhen Zhang,Qianlai Zhuang,Donatella Zona,Donatella Zona +81 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors synthesize regional in situ observations of CO2 flux from Arctic and boreal soils to assess current and future winter carbon losses from the northern permafrost domain.
Journal ArticleDOI
A combination of quality assessment tools for eddy covariance measurements with footprint modelling for the characterisation of complex sites
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of surface heterogeneity to permit a correct interpretation of the measurement results has been evaluated, and the results are presented as two-dimensional graphs, which show the spatial distribution of the quality of different fluxes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quality analysis applied on eddy covariance measurements at complex forest sites using footprint modelling
Corinna Rebmann,Mathias Göckede,Thomas Foken,Marc Aubinet,Mika Aurela,Paul Berbigier,Christian Bernhofer,Nina Buchmann,Arnaud Carrara,Alessandro Cescatti,Reinhart Ceulemans,Robert Clement,Jan Elbers,André Granier,Thomas Grünwald,Dominique Guyon,Kateřina Havránková,Bernard Heinesch,Alexander Knohl,Tuomas Laurila,Bernard Longdoz,Barbara Marcolla,Tiina Markkanen,Franco Miglietta,John Moncrieff,Leonardo Montagnani,Eddy Moors,M. Nardino,Jean-Marc Ourcival,Serge Rambal,Üllar Rannik,Eyal Rotenberg,Pavel Sedlák,G. Unterhuber,Timo Vesala,Dan Yakir +35 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed quality tests to check if the basic theoretical assumptions for the eddy covariance method are valid under many conditions, such as stationarity of flow, homogeneity of the surface and fully developed turbulence of the flow field.
Journal ArticleDOI
Processing and quality control of flux data during LITFASS-2003
Matthias Mauder,Claudia Liebethal,Mathias Göckede,Jens-Peter Leps,Frank Beyrich,Thomas Foken +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, different aspects of the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of micrometeorological measurements were combined to create a comprehensive algorithm which was then applied to experimental data from LITFASS-2003 (Lindenberg Inhomogeneous Terrain-Fluxes between Atmosphere and Surface: a long term study).
