Identification of RNA-Binding Protein LARP4B as a Tumor Suppressor in Glioma.
Hideto Koso,Hungtsung Yi,Paul Sheridan,Satoru Miyano,Yasushi Ino,Tomoki Todo,Sumiko Watanabe +6 more
TL;DR: Overexpression of LARP4B in glioma cell lines strongly inhibited proliferation by inducing mitotic arrest and apoptosis in four of six lines as well as in two patient-derivedglioma stem cell populations, and depletion in p53 and Nf1-deficient mouse primary astrocytes promoted cell proliferation and led to increased tumor size and invasiveness in xenograft and orthotopic models.
Journal Article
Simulation-based validation of the p53 transcriptional activity with hybrid functional Petri net
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have observed mutual behaviors among genes p53, MDM2, p19ARF and their products on a computational model with hybrid functional Petri net (HFPN) which is constructed based on information described in the literature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical significance of T cell clonality and expression levels of immune-related genes in endometrial cancer
Yuji Ikeda,Kazuma Kiyotani,Poh Yin Yew,Sho Sato,Yuichi Imai,Rui Yamaguchi,Satoru Miyano,Keiichi Fujiwara,Kosei Hasegawa,Yusuke Nakamura +9 more
TL;DR: Clinical and prognostic significance of immune microenvironment including the T cell clonality of TILs as well as PD-L1 and CD11c mRNA expression levels in endometrial cancer tissues are identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recurrent genetic defects on chromosome 7q in myeloid neoplasms
Naoko Hosono,Hideki Makishima,Andres Jerez,Kenichi Yoshida,Bartlomiej P Przychodzen,Sarah McMahon,Yuichi Shiraishi,Kenichi Chiba,Hirokazu Tanaka,Satoru Miyano,Masashi Sanada,Inés Gómez-Seguí,Amit Verma,Michael A. McDevitt,Mikkael A. Sekeres,Seishi Ogawa,Jaroslaw P. Maciejewski +16 more
TL;DR: This research presents a novel and exciting new approach to treating multiple myeloma with a single chemotherapy drug, called “lysine-like substance,” which has never been used in this manner before.
Journal ArticleDOI
Haploinsufficiency of Sf3b1 leads to compromised stem cell function but not to myelodysplasia
Manabu Matsunawa,Ryo Yamamoto,Masashi Sanada,Aiko Sato-Otsubo,Yusuke Shiozawa,Kenichi Yoshida,Makoto Otsu,Yuichi Shiraishi,Satoru Miyano,Kyoichi Isono,Haruhiko Koseki,Hiromitsu Nakauchi,Seishi Ogawa +12 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that SF3B1 plays an important role in the regulation of hematopoietic stem cells, whereas SF3b1 haploinsufficiency itself is not associated with the myelodysplastic syndrome phenotype with ring sideroblasts.
