Measurement of the CKM angle γ using B± → DK± with D → KS0π+π−, KS0K+K− decays

Roel Aaij, +722 more
TL;DR: In this article, a binned Dalitz plot analysis of B± → DK± decays, with D → KS0π+π− and D →KS0K+K−, is performed to perform a measurement of the CP-violating observables x± and y±, which are sensitive to the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle γ.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isospin amplitudes in $\Lambda_b^0\to J/\psi \Lambda(\Sigma^0)$ and $\Xi_b^0\to J/\psi \Xi^0(\Lambda)$ decays

Roel Aaij, +903 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first results on isospin amplitudes in b-baryon decays were presented, using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.5
Journal ArticleDOI

Upper limits on the strength of periodic gravitational waves from PSR J1939+2134

Benjamin William Allen, +381 more
TL;DR: The first science run of the LIGO and GEO gravitational wave detectors presented the opportunity to test methods of searching for gravitational waves from known pulsars as discussed by the authors, and they presented new direct upper limits on the strength of waves from the pulsar PSR J1939+2134 using two independent analysis methods.

Analysis of neutral $B$-meson decays into two muons

Roel Aaij, +976 more
TL;DR: In this article, the branching fraction and effective lifetime measurements of the rare decay $B^0_s\to\mu+\mu^-$ and searches for the decays of the decay were reported using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at the centre-of-mass energies of $7$ TeV, $8$ TV, and $13$ TEV, corresponding to a luminosity of $9$ fb$^{-1}$.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for CP violation in Ξb- →pK-K- decays

Roel Aaij, +980 more
- 01 Sep 2021 -
TL;DR: In this article, a search for $CP$ violation in charmless three-body ε-b^-to p K^- K^-$ decays is performed using $pp$ collision data recorded with the LHCb detector, corresponding to integrated luminosities of $1\,\text{fb}^{-1}$ at a centre-of-mass energy.
