Journal ArticleDOI
Roflumilast for asthma: Safety findings from a pooled analysis of ten clinical studies.
Paul Chervinsky,Eli O. Meltzer,William W. Busse,Keisuke Ohta,Philip G. Bardin,D. Bredenbröker,Eric D. Bateman +6 more
TL;DR: The severity and incidence of AEs reported from this pooled safety analysis confirm that roflumilast is generally well tolerated by patients with asthma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy and safety of ipratropium bromide/albuterol compared with albuterol in patients with moderate-to-severe asthma: a randomized controlled trial
James F. Donohue,Robert A. Wise,William W. Busse,Sandra Garfinkel,Valentina B. Zubek,Mo Ghafouri,Raymond C. Manuel,Rozsa Schlenker-Herceg,Eugene R. Bleecker +8 more
TL;DR: CVT-MDI significantly improved acute bronchodilator effects of β2-agonist and anticholinergic treatment in moderate-to-severe, symptomatic asthma after 4 weeks of “as-needed” use, with a similar safety profile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced Neutralizing Antibody Responses to Rhinovirus C and Age-Dependent Patterns of Infection.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify how age and other individual-level factors affect the performance of rhinovirus infection and respiratory illnesses ranging from the common cold to severe wheezing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of nedocromil sodium pretreatment on the immediate and late responses of the airway to segmental antigen challenge
TL;DR: A significant positive correlation was shown between the degree of histamine reduction at 5 minutes and thedegree of reduction of eosinophil influx at 48 hours, raising the possibility that eosine influx into the airway may depend on mediators or cytokines released during the immediate response to allergen.
Journal ArticleDOI
Safety of Binodenoson, a Selective Adenosine A2A Receptor Agonist Vasodilator Pharmacological Stress Agent, in Healthy Subjects With Mild Intermittent Asthma
John J. Murray,John M. Weiler,Lawrence B. Schwartz,William W. Busse,Rohit K. Katial,Richard F. Lockey,E.R. McFadden,Glenn C. Pixton,Richard J. Barrett +8 more
TL;DR: Binodenoson was safe, well tolerated, and caused no clinically significant bronchoconstriction or pulmonary responses in a small population of healthy subjects with mild, intermittent asthma.
