Journal ArticleDOI

Altered white matter microstructural organization in posttraumatic stress disorder across 3047 adults: results from the PGC-ENIGMA PTSD consortium

Emily L. Dennis, +141 more
- 01 Aug 2021 -
TL;DR: The results show that PTSD may be associated with alterations in the broader hippocampal network, and associations between PTSD and disrupted white matter organization measured by lower fractional anisotropy in the tapetum region of the corpus callosum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cortical volume abnormalities in posttraumatic stress disorder: an ENIGMA-psychiatric genomics consortium PTSD workgroup mega-analysis.

Xin Wang, +121 more
- 01 Aug 2021 -
TL;DR: It is indicated that cortical volumes in PTSD patients are smaller in prefrontal regulatory regions, as well as in broader emotion and sensory processing cortical regions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Serotonin transporter 5-HTTLPR genotype is associated with intrusion and avoidance symptoms of DSM-5 posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Chinese earthquake survivors.

TL;DR: The findings suggest that the 5-HTTLPR may have an important impact on the development of PTSD and add to the extant knowledge on understanding and treating of posttraumatic psychopathology.

Altered White Matter Microstructural Organization in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder across 3,049 Adults: Results from the PGC-ENIGMA PTSD Consortium

Emily L. Dennis, +140 more
- 20 Jun 2019 -
TL;DR: The results show that PTSD may be associated with alterations in the broader hippocampal network, and associations between PTSD and disrupted white matter organization measured by lower fractional anisotropy in the tapetum region of the corpus callosum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Remodeling of the Cortical Structural Connectome in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder: Results from the ENIGMA-PGC PTSD Consortium.

Delin Sun, +94 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated alteration in covariance of structural networks associated with PTSD in regions that demonstrate the case-control differences in cortical thickness (CT) and surface area (SA) and found that patients with PTSD exhibited lower mean structural covariance in CT-based and SA-based atrophic networks.
