Journal ArticleDOI
DNA deletions and recombinations in the gene locus of X-linked muscular dystrophies.
TL;DR: The present study analysed the results of recombination and deletion in Xlinked muscular dystrophies in Japan.
Journal ArticleDOI
64 kbit/s Video coding algorithm using adaptive gain/shape vector quantization
Hiroshi Watanabe,Yutaka Suzuki +1 more
TL;DR: A hybrid coding algorithm, consisting of motion compensated interframe prediction and adaptive gain/shape vector quantization, is proposed for low bit rate video coding, and a 64 kbit/s video coding system based on this coding algorithm has been implemented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of deleterious recessive haplotypes and candidate deleterious recessive mutations in Japanese Black cattle
Shinji Sasaki,Toshio Watanabe,Takayuki Ibi,Kiyotoshi Hasegawa,Yoichi Sakamoto,Shunsuke Moriwaki,Kazuhito Kurogi,Atsushi Ogino,Takanori Yasumori,Hiroyuki Wakaguri,Eiji Muraki,Youko Miki,Yuichi Yoshida,Yoshinobu Inoue,Ichiro Tabuchi,Ken Iwao,Taichi Arishima,Keisuke Kawashima,Manabu Watanabe,Sumio Sugano,Yoshikazu Sugimoto,Yutaka Suzuki +21 more
TL;DR: This paper developed Japanese Black cattle haplotypes (JBHs) using SNP array data (4843 individuals) and identified deleterious recessive haplotypes using exome sequencing of 517 sires.

TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic approach to estimating the response of the immune system to laser-spot assisted, 3D image analysis of central nervous system injury.
Journal ArticleDOI
Artificially designed hybrids facilitate efficient generation of high-resolution linkage maps.
Kazutoshi Yoshitake,Yoji Igarashi,Misaki Mizukoshi,Shigeharu Kinoshita,Susumu Mitsuyama,Yutaka Suzuki,Kazuyoshi Saito,Shugo Watabe,Shuichi Asakawa +8 more
TL;DR: A new strategy based on artificially generated hybrid organisms to acquire ultrahigh-density genomic markers at reduced cost and build highly accurate linkage maps is devised, which could accelerate the whole genome analysis of various organisms including fish, mollusks, amphibians, insects, plants, and even mammals.
