Journal ArticleDOI
Regnase-1-mediated post-transcriptional regulation is essential for hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell homeostasis
Hiroyasu Kidoya,Fumitaka Muramatsu,Teppei Shimamura,Weizhen Jia,Takashi Satoh,Yumiko Hayashi,Hisamichi Naito,Yuya Kunisaki,Fumio Arai,Masahide Seki,Yutaka Suzuki,Tsuyoshi Osawa,Shizuo Akira,Nobuyuki Takakura +13 more
TL;DR: Regnase-1 regulates self-renewal of haematopoietic stem and progenitor cells through modulation of the stability of Gata2 and Tal1 mRNA and is suggested to represent a leukemia tumor suppressor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of Spinach Sex Chromosomes with Sugar Beet Autosomes Reveals Extensive Synteny and Low Recombination at the Male-Determining Locus
Satoshi Takahata,Takumi Yago,Keisuke Iwabuchi,Hideki Hirakawa,Yutaka Suzuki,Yasuyuki Onodera +5 more
TL;DR: Comparison of the linkage map with a reference genome sequence of sugar beet revealed that the spinach sex chromosomes exhibited extensive synteny with sugar beet chromosomes 4 and 9, supporting the observation that recombination rates were low in the vicinity of the male-determining locus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systematic Analysis of Targets of Pumilio-Mediated mRNA Decay Reveals that PUM1 Repression by DNA Damage Activates Translesion Synthesis
Toshimichi Yamada,Naoto Imamachi,Katsutoshi Imamura,Kenzui Taniue,Takeshi Kawamura,Yutaka Suzuki,Masami Nagahama,Nobuyoshi Akimitsu +7 more
TL;DR: The combined analysis of transcriptome-wide mRNA stabilities and the binding of mRNAs to human Pumilio 1 (PUM1) reveals that cells respond to DNA damage by inhibiting PUM1-mediated mRNA decay to activate TLS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-read whole-genome methylation patterning using enzymatic base conversion and nanopore sequencing.
Yoshitaka Sakamoto,Suzuko Zaha,Satoi Nagasawa,Shuhei Miyake,Yasuyuki Kojima,Ayako Suzuki,Yutaka Suzuki,Masahide Seki +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a bisulfite-sequencing-based approach was proposed to improve the read length of DNA methylation analysis using nanopore sequencing and enzymatic base conversion, where an unmethylated cytosine should be converted to thymine.
Journal Article
[Cancer detection with whole-body FDG PET images without attenuation correction].
Seiei Yasuda,Michiru Ide,Shigeharu Takagi,Akira Shohtsu,Toshio Mitomi,Shin Kobayashi,Yutaka Suzuki +6 more
TL;DR: Whole-body positron emission tomography using 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-D-glucose (FDG) has been applied successfully for the detection of cancer and 104 out of 106 lesions were recognizable on uncorrected images as well as corrected images, suggesting that unc corrected images can be used for the Detection of cancers.
