TL;DR: In this paper, a clock and data recovery circuit that includes one or more analog components and a digital control circuit configured to control both the clock and the data recovery circuits is presented.
Abstract: A system may include a clock and data recovery circuit that includes one or more analog components. The system may also include a digital control circuit configured to control the clock and data recovery circuit. The digital control circuit and the clock and data recovery circuit may be formed on a single substrate.

TL;DR: Record bit-rate-distance-products of 118.6 and 51.6 Gbps×km were achieved for PAM4 and NRZ transmission over a single OM4 fiber using mode-selective VCSEL.
Abstract: Record bit-rate-distance-products of 118.6 and 51.6 Gbps×km were achieved for PAM4 and NRZ transmission over a single OM4 fiber using mode-selective VCSEL. The OMA penalty was 3.1 dB for 51.56-Gbps-PAM4 transmission over 1.6km OM4 at BER of 5×10−5.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a transceiver module having a box optical subassembly, a printed circuit board, and a connector extending from the box-optical subassembly to the circuit board.
Abstract: Discloses is a transceiver module having a box optical subassembly, a printed circuit board, and a connector extending from the box optical subassembly to the printed circuit board. The box optical subassembly includes a laser diode, a laser driver, and at least one pin receiving a driver signal for said laser driver. Optionally, the box optical subassembly includes a thermal electric cooler to cool one or more components within the box optical subassembly. The connector mounts to the at least one pin and is receivable by a pin header mounted to the printed circuit board to accommodate for variations in the orientation of the optical subassembly relative to the printed circuit board during optical alignment of the optical subassembly.

TL;DR: In this article, a circulator and a planar waveguide amplifier communicate with the circulator to separate the input beam into a first beam and a second beam, and manipulates the first and second beams so that they have the same polarization as they enter the waveguide.
Abstract: A waveguide optical amplifier package has a circulator and a planar waveguide amplifier optically communicating with the circulator. A core of the circulator receives an input beam, separates the input beam into a first beam and a second beam, and manipulates the first beam and the second beam so that they have the same polarization as they enter the waveguide. The waveguide includes one waveguide for each beam or a single waveguide that receives both beams. Following amplification of the beams power levels, the beams are directed into the circulator which combines the beams into an output beam that exits the circulator.

TL;DR: In this article, a short cavity distributed reflector (DR) with a modulation bandwidth of 55GHz was developed using the photon-photon resonance and detunedloading effects, and the importance of the chirp parameter for the speed enhancement was discussed.
