Abstract: BACKGROUND/AIMS The varied prevalence of traumatic dental injuries (TDI) in primary teeth around the globe raises a serious knowledge gap in the available literature. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of TDI in primary teeth and also to evaluate the different factors associated with TDI in primary teeth. MATERIALS AND METHODS Comprehensive searches were performed in PubMed, Embase, Google Scholar, and The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials with predefined search criteria. The primary outcome was the prevalence of TDI in primary teeth, and the secondary outcomes were the factors associated with TDI in primary teeth. Qualitative analysis was done using the Newcastle-Ottawa scale adapted for cross-sectional studies. The random-effect model was used for meta-analysis, and meta-regression analysis was done to evaluate the heterogeneity between the included studies. Meta-analysis was done using the "meta" package of "R" language. The overall quality of evidence was assessed using GRADEpro GDT software. RESULTS A total of 24 cross-sectional studies met the inclusion criteria representing 4876 TDIs in 22 839 children aged between 0 and 6 years old. The overall prevalence of TDI in primary teeth was 24.2% (95% CI: 18.24-31.43, P = 0, I2 = 99%). Falls contributed the highest number of TDI - 59.3% (95% CI: 41.05-76.40, P < .01, I2 = 98%) - in primary teeth. The most common type of tooth fracture in primary teeth was an enamel fracture (61.9%), and prevalence of TDI in children with incompetent lip closure was 49.4%. CONCLUSION The prevalence of TDI in cross-sectional studies of primary teeth was 24.2% with very low quality of evidence. Falls contributed the highest number of TDI in primary teeth, accounting for 59.3%. Children with incompetent lip closure have the highest prevalence (49.4%) of TDI in primary teeth.

Abstract: The efficacy of electron beam radiation for the disinfection and reduction of organic load of sewage water was assessed with ILU-6 Accelerator at Radiation Technology Development Division of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai India. The current problem on environmental health in relation to water pollution insists for the safe disposal of sewage water. In general, sewage water comprises heterogeneous organic based chemicals as well as pathogens. EB treatment of the wastewater has found to be very effective in reducing the pathogens as well as organic load. EB dose of 1.5 kGy was sufficient for complete elimination of total coli forms. The experimental results elucidated the reduction of biological oxygen demand—BOD (35 and 51.7%) in both inlet and outlet sewage samples. Similarly reduction of chemical oxygen demand—COD was observed (37.54 and 52.32%) in both sewage samples with respect to increase in irradiation doses (0.45–6 kGy). The present study demonstrated the potential of ionizing radiation for disinfection of sewage and to increase the water quality of the wastewater by decreasing BOD and COD. So, the irradiation sewage water can find its application either in agriculture for irrigation, in industry for cooling purpose and some selected domestic purposes.

Abstract: Digitalization uses digital technology to change a business model and provide new revenue models and value-producing opportunities. Blockchain is a type of database that stores various kinds of information in blocks that form a chain of information. It is one of the secured ways of transferring and storage of data. Blockchain is helping in creating trust for digitalization among its users. This research aims to study the impact of trust in blockchain by analyzing the privacy and security concerns that can impact the user attitude and its intention to the adoption process. For this structure, literature review is performed. Five variables are used, and they are attitude, privacy, trust, security, and intention. A questionnaire is developed for survey-based research in the software firms, banking sector, and digital marketing companies. For analysis, exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling are used. A model is developed that shows a good fit, and the parameters are satisfied.

Abstract: Aegialitis rotundifolia Roxb., (Plumbaginaceae) is a small mangrove tree or shrub traditionally used by the local healers of mangroves for curing pain and inflammation. However, there are no scientific reports of its toxicological properties which would guarantee the safety of its folkloric usage as a potent pain reliever. Therefore, the present study deals in acute and sub-acute (30-day) toxicity studies of Aegialitis rotundifolia ethanolic leaves extract (ARELE) on male and female Wistar rats administered through oral gavage. Acute toxicity study was conducted at a single oral dose of 1000, 1500, and 2000 mg/kg, body weight (b.wt.) for 14 days with a special emphasis on the first four hours after drug administration to find out any mortality and morbidity. In sub-acute toxicity, the extract at the doses of 125, 250 and 500 mg/kg, b.wt., was administered orally for 30 days. Important parameters such as general behaviour, body and organ weight, urinalysis, haematological and biochemical profile, organ macroscopy and microscopy were conducted. Organ sample of liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, lungs, and stomach were taken from both male and female rats, whereas the sample of testis and ovary was taken from male and female rats respectively for organ necropsy and histopathological studies. Neurobehavioral toxicity was conducted by performing a functional observational battery (FOB) and locomotor activity on the initial and final week of the 30-day study period. No mortality or any major signs of morbidity was recorded for acute toxicity except for the limit dose (2000 mg/kg, b.wt.) which produced a slight short-term sedative effect. In sub-acute toxicity, no major alteration was observed in the evaluated parameters. However, few minor changes were recorded for high dose (500 mg/kg, b.wt.) group. The results of the present study showed that oral administration of Aegialitis rotundifolia ethanolic leaves extract did not produce any severe toxic effects in both acute and sub-acute studies in Wistar rats. Therefore, usage of an appropriate amount of Aegialitis rotundifolia leaves extract preferably at low doses for its traditional use should be considered safe.
